Dear Common Ground Families & Friends,
We need your help! Once again, we must organize our staff, families, and supporters to tell our state legislators that we cannot have our funding cut, and that this year’s budget can’t put our schools at risk by providing unfair funding to our schools.
Next Thursday, February 21st, the legislature will have a hearing in Hartford to debate charter funding. Parent and community attendance is CRUCIAL in convincing legislators that our children need fair funding. We ask that you join us in voicing our children’s needs! Here are the details:
WHAT: Appropriations Committee Meeting-Public Hearing
WHEN: THURSDAY, February 21st at 5:30 pm
WHERE: Hartford Legislative Office Building- 300 Capitol Avenue, Hartford
TRANSPORTATION: The bus will pick up from Common Ground at 4pm and leave Hartford at 8pm back to Common Ground.
DINNER: Will be provided for all who attend
