Creepytown is back!!!! Come by October 25 from 4 pm-8 pm.

Join us Saturday, October 27th from 4  pm-8 pm at Common Ground for Creepytown II. It is run entirely by CG students. There will be a themed festival with food, candy, games, a photo booth, and a movie playing! Around the school will be a haunted trail, directed towards older kids and adults. There is no age limit for the haunted trail, however if you bring younger kids, the trail heads will make an effort to steer them away from the scarier parts. It is recommended that all participants on the trail are ages 10 and up.  Admission is just $5, and donations are both accepted and appreciated.

Kids who don’t go on the trail can come into the fair at no charge! Patrons can buy prize drawing tickets for just a buck, and games are no more than $5 to play! The movie viewing is included in admission.

Creepytown was created in 2017 by three CG seniors, Hope Dymond, Karissa Bowden, and Isobell Browe, as their senior project to give back to their community. It was a major success and all proceeds went to fund student-led activities like dances and field trips. All the students who participated in Creepytown had positive experiences and CG decided to keep it going for years to come.

in 2018, seniors Bridget Cunningham, Sydney Barnes and I (I’m a junior) were selected by the past leaders to direct Creepytown in a way that built on what Karissa, Hope, and Isobell established. Common Ground High School is turning a senior project into a tradition. Building upon that tradition is a stressful and sometimes frustrating process, but in the end the payoff is worth it as it brings happiness and money to the community. It provides a safe and fun experience for kids of all ages.

Students put an immense amount of effort into the event, and there are many ways students get involved. Students from CG can be scarers on the haunted trail, be trail-heads, work the festival, be on decoration or clean up crew, and many other ways! Each person involved is extremely important and has a passion to make the event as great as it can be.

We hope to see you there!
