How does Common Ground matter to you?

Aeryn Boyer at Open Farm Day

By Kimball Cartwright, Director of Development

A generous anonymous supporter will match, up to $10,000, 1:1, all individual gifts of up to $1,000 that come in between now and ‘Giving Tuesday’, December 3rd. If you’ve ever considered giving less than $1,000 to Common Ground, now’s the time to get your gift doubled!

But seriously, that’s not much time! Common Ground needs your help in two ways; 1) give to Common Ground at this link and help us get those matching dollars, and 2) take a picture of yourself holding a sign that says why Common Ground matters to you. We’ll use your photo sometime in the week leading up to Giving Tuesday on our Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter channels to promote the many adults, children and families that love Common Ground.

Here’s what to do:

Print out one of the templates linked below and write in (with a thick marker) why you love Common Ground. The “We love . . .” template is especially helpful when someone else you know (a spouse, a child, a pet) wants to get in the picture too. You may want to donate first and then use the “I donate . . .” or “We donate . . .” templates. Perfectly rational. Then, send me your (un)selfie! You can email the photo to me at kcartwright@commongroundct.org and please post it to your own social media and tag Common Ground (@commongroundct).

Shelly Altman, CG supporter (thank you Shelly!)

I donate to Common Ground because . . .

We donate to Common Ground because . . .

Giving Tuesday has turned into a massive worldwide movement and we want to take advantage of its visibility to meet new people this year. Last year, we raised $7,400; you can help us make this year’s $10,000 goal – and leverage another $10,000 too!
