FILLED- Common Ground is Seeking a Math/Science Support Educator

Common Ground High School — the nation’s oldest environmental charter high school, creating the next generation of successful college students and powerful community and environmental leaders — is seeking a Full-time Math/Science Support Educator

The Common Ground Support Educator will have the opportunity to work in a truly diverse learning community in which 225 students from 18 different towns experience a mix of high academic standards, active learning and leadership opportunities, and small school supports that are producing dramatic educational results.

The Support Educator is responsible for supporting classroom instruction during the school day and providing targeted supports in academic labs both during and after school.

Additionally, the Support Educator assists with collaterals, supports administrative staff as needed, provides substitute coverage throughout the school year as needed, and attends school assemblies and functions.

Qualifications
  • College Degree
  • Experience supervising and working with youth
  • Ability to support students with all levels of high school math instruction
  • Experience in the field of education; preferably in a public school setting.
  • Demonstrated belief that all students can achieve at high levels
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility
