Common Ground / New Haven Ecology Project
From the start, Common Ground has broken new ground. In the late 1980s, community members came together to connect city residents to the natural world, grow healthy food in our community, and change the way we educate our children.

Common Ground’s curriculum combines rigorous high academic standards for all, responsive relationships with adults and peers who really care, relevant, real-world learning that’s rooted in the community and environment, and real roles and rights for students.

The Common Ground Farm is a small scale diversified farm utilizing humane and ecological practices. Our priority and commitment is to care for our natural systems and honor the community that farms with us.
