Open Farm Day

Open Farm Day

Open Farm Day

Every Saturday from April through November from 10 am - 2 pm.

Open Farm Day is free and no RSVP is needed.

Open Farm Day is a self guided experience and staff are available to welcome visitors and answer questions. There are lots of opportunities for play and exploration! Visit the farm animals, taste and smell in the children’s garden, look for frogs in the wetland, make a pie in the mud kitchen, or build a fort in the woods.

From April through November we will have staff outside to host Open Farm Day visitors. The animal yards and gardens will be open and we are happy to provide information about our campus and our programs and to recommend hiking trails in West Rock.

Seedling Sale

Seedling Sale

Annual Seedling Sale

Every year in May we host one of the farm’s largest access, income generating and community building opportunities!

We grow over $20,000 worth of seedlings that we sell at affordable pricing to new and experienced gardeners and urban farmers in the New Haven area. We aim to provide standard vegetables, herbs and flowers, but also ones that are culturally specific to the diverse population of our community. For example, bitter melon, seasoning peppers (like aji dulce and Grenada), lemongrass, callaloo, collards, cilantro, napa cabbage and more.
