Rock to Rock 2025

Join us Saturday, April 25, 2026

What is Rock to Rock?

  • A city-wide celebration of Earth Day!

  • Bike rides and hikes on Saturday, 4/25 from East Rock to West Rock - hence the name!

  • An integral fundraiser for more than 20 nonprofit partners, including Common Ground!

How is Common Ground involved?

  • Common Ground co-founded this special community celebration!

  • Our students, staff and community members have participated every year.

  • Most of the bike routes pass by our campus and we host a rest stop.

  • We also lead a hike up West Rock that starts and ends on our campus.

Fundraising Through Rock to Rock

  • We depend on the funds we raise through Rock to Rock to sustain our work.

  • This is a truly grassroots fundraiser.

    • Over 300 donations - the highest number of any of our campaigns.

    • Average gift size of $89.50, with more than ⅔ of gifts (67%) at $50 or less.

  • This is a peer to peer fundraiser, which is exciting because it brings in a lot of new donors for us, and deepens donor engagement.

  • This is also the fundraiser in which our high school students and staff are most involved and take leadership!

You can help with Matching Funds

  • The peer to peer fundraising model and the complex nature of the event require a significant amount of staff time.

  • To make the ROI on this fundraiser worth the intensive investment of staff time, we need to grow the amount raised to at least $50,000.

  • Matching funds have drastically increased both the number and size of gifts for Common Ground in Rock to Rock and other similar fundraisers like The Great Give.

  • A 1:1 match would take this already successful fundraiser to the next level.
