What is Rock to Rock?
A city-wide celebration of Earth Day!
Bike rides and hikes on Saturday, 4/25 from East Rock to West Rock - hence the name!
An integral fundraiser for more than 20 nonprofit partners, including Common Ground!
How is Common Ground involved?
Common Ground co-founded this special community celebration!
Our students, staff and community members have participated every year.
Most of the bike routes pass by our campus and we host a rest stop.
We also lead a hike up West Rock that starts and ends on our campus.
Fundraising Through Rock to Rock
We depend on the funds we raise through Rock to Rock to sustain our work.
This is a truly grassroots fundraiser.
Over 300 donations - the highest number of any of our campaigns.
Average gift size of $89.50, with more than ⅔ of gifts (67%) at $50 or less.
This is a peer to peer fundraiser, which is exciting because it brings in a lot of new donors for us, and deepens donor engagement.
This is also the fundraiser in which our high school students and staff are most involved and take leadership!
You can help with Matching Funds
The peer to peer fundraising model and the complex nature of the event require a significant amount of staff time.
To make the ROI on this fundraiser worth the intensive investment of staff time, we need to grow the amount raised to at least $50,000.
Matching funds have drastically increased both the number and size of gifts for Common Ground in Rock to Rock and other similar fundraisers like The Great Give.
A 1:1 match would take this already successful fundraiser to the next level.
