Our Campus
Common Ground’s unique place — 20 acres of city park land, on the edge of West Rock Ridge State Park, within the City of New Haven — is at the root of everything we do. Our work - The Common Ground High School is a program of the New Haven Ecology Project, a non-profit organization that also operates a community environmental education center and urban farm on the same site - starts here and ripples outward.
Sustainable Design
Watch seven short student-produced videos, sharing sustainable design principles at work in Common Ground’s new Springside Center, and learn about other ways that Common Ground is trying to live out our commitment to sustainable change.

Visiting Common Ground
You are welcome here. This is your place.
Common Ground’s campus is open to the public every Saturday, 10 am-2pm, between the start of April and end of November. We also welcome community members to join us at our events and children’s programs.
Common Ground welcomes visitors from other schools and organizations interested in learning about our work.
If you are interested in scheduling a visit to Common Ground, contact Briona “Bri” Jenkins, Director of Development and Communications at briona.jenkins@nhep.com.
Because hosting visitors takes staff time and resources, we ask that visitors give back by (1) sharing a written reflection on their experience, (2) making a donation to support our work, and/or (3) returning during a volunteer work day on the farm.
